Cömert: "We have to keep our heads up"
Eray Cömert spoke after the 0-1 defeat at Mestalla on LaLiga Matchday 12, and insisted that he was proud of the team's efforts against FC Barcelona.
Proud of the team
It’s difficult to say anything. I’m really proud of the team because of how we fought today, how we defended, and how we created chances in front of goal. It was unbelievable. Losing in the last minute is tough. I also want to say thank you to the fans. Today they supported us from the first minute and I hope they are like this in every game.
Grateful to the fans
It’s unbelievable how the fans welcomed us before the game in front of the stadium. I want to say thank you to the fans today. As a team, we did everything we could to win today. We also wanted to fight for the fans because they deserved that. Today, once again, we were unlucky in the last minute. We know it's not easy against a team like Barcelona. I think we did really well today.
Keeping positive
We have to keep our heads up because we did really well today. We fought until the end. We will definitely go into the last games before the World Cup looking to win. It’s another opportunity.
